After ten years of logging from one court to another and from one judgement to another, Dr. Rajan Mahtani finally received justice when the Portland Cement Zambia was given back to him. The date was 31st January 2019 and the court of Court of Appeal. However, it is not the court where the case was first registered. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has initially approached the Lusaka High Court with his Portland Cement Zambia case. This was almost ten years ago. Despite sharing numerous evidences and testimonials, the judge at the Lusaka High Court was not able to give the right justice. The final judgement from the Lusaka High Court came during the month of May, 2018 and was given by Justice Nkonde. However, it was a controversial judgement according to which Ventriglias were only shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement.

After this controversial judgement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani approached the Court of Appeal. The judge at the Court of Appeal was justice Mwinde who announced the final judgement on the case on 31st January 2019. According to this judgement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani owned Finsbury Investments is majority shareholder of the Zambezi Portland Cement with 58 percent shares. On the other hand, Ventriglias owned Ital Terrazzo Limited holds just 42 percent shares at the factory and is the minority shareholder without any legal ownership over the factory. Based on this shareholding pattern, it is clear that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the legal owner of the Zambezi Portland Cement factory. Furthermore, Justice Mwinde also confirmed that this decision aligns with the original shareholding pattern established in the year 2007.

Furthermore, all allegations of forgery were dismissed by the Court of Appeal judge. It was confirmed that the process of mechanically placing signatures was a common practice in Zambia and even critical member of Ventriglias family engaged in similar practice for conducting business transaction. As such, all forgery allegations were refuted.
