Apart from the roundtable conference, the highlight of the business and corporate event was the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. It is one of the most regarded and respected awards given to top visionaries and businesses from Africa for his significant and long-term contributions towards the growth and development of the African nation via philanthropy and leadership. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the only business person from Zambia who was selected for one of the award categories from the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. For his significant contributions towards the Zambian economy and redefining the banking sector of Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was bestowed with the Forbes ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Mahtani is the owner of several top companies in Zambia including Mahtani Group which was established in the year 1981 and has since transformed itself into one of the top conglomerates in Zambia. The conglomerate has expanded into several industries including energy, real estate, insurance, agriculture, mining and several others.
