In this article, Dr. Rajan Mahtani condemned the age-old practice of death penalty and applauded the latest decision from the President of Zambia regarding this matter. President Hakainde Hichilema, on the eve of Africa Day, made an announcement. In this announcement, he stated his plans of abolishing the death penalty law. According to the President, the practice of death penalty is inhumane and degrading. This announcement from the Zambian President has received widespread support from across the nation. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has also extended his full support towards this decision. Adding his voice to this cause, Dr. Mahtani stated that he and his company Prison Fellowship Zambia pledge their full support towards abolishing death penalty. The organization will also support the President by evaluating tangible & legal reforms.
